Anchorlite Independent School
Grade 10 – 12 / Rewrite and Upgrade Matric School Located in the hub of Durban’s CBD hosting Grades 10-12. Offering a variety subjects to choose from, this allows the student to receive individual attention pertaining to their focal areas. Anchorlite has adopted a school environment where the student’s areas of risk are identified, and a process of intervention is implemented. Apart from the Full-time school, there is also the Examination Centre which allows students that were unsuccessful in graduating at Matric to re-attempt failed subjects. The National Curriculum Statement grades R -12 (NCS) stipulates policy on curriculum and assessment in the schooling sector. To improve the implementation the NCS was amended and developed into Curriculum Assessment Policy (CAPS). In grades 10-12 a learner is required to do 7 Subjects of which 4 are compulsory
